As Mad Men is well into its sixth season, the characters are welcoming in the Woodstock Era of the 60s with a new fashion sense. The women are wearing more flashy clothing and sporting new hairdos. What’s even more exciting are the “interesting” facial hair decisions made by the men.
The promising future of Tottenham Hotspur depends greatly on if they can climb into the top four of the Barclays Premier League standings with their remaining four games. If so then their sights are set on the prestige of Champions League with their superstar Gareth Bale returning for another year. If not then next season’s outlook is very bleak. A 2-2 draw against Wigan is a discouraging outcome for their aspirations.
This will be my final installment of the Workaholics reviews until the new season picks back up. Let’s all collectively weep before beginning.
I had Marquette beating Davidson yesterday in my bracket. It wasn’t that important because I had Butler beating them next round, but I still wanted them to win the game. When the game got close at the end I found myself really rooting for the Golden Eagles, despite the fantastic game that a huge underdog Davidson was having. All of my friends and I except one cheered as Vander Blue made a layup with a second left to win the game. The other friend couldn’t believe that none of us were rooting for the underdog. Obviously, underdogs and upsets are what make the NCAA Tournament so special. And I started to realize that that is more important than my bracket after the Marquette game.
The South is filled with teams that have plenty of talent but have severely underperformed. If Florida and Michigan can put it all together then they can reach the Final Four. If they can’t, then upsets can rule the bracket.
The West is the weakest of the four regions. The region also lacks potential for a double-digit seed to upset. The defensively minded style of these teams leaves the region basically up for grabs. Expect for the middle seeds to make the most noise in the bracket.
Indiana got a pretty great draw despite not being the number 1 overall seed. Miami is one of the weakest 2 seeds in my opinion, and other teams come in riding lows like Syracuse. I expect Indiana to roll through this region, but let’s take a look at some of the best storylines and possible matchups.
This is arguably the toughest region which Louisville Cardinals fans might be upset about considering their team earned the No. 1 overall seed. The top four seeds are dangerous and the region is filled with upset potential. Here’s a brief summation of the Midwest Region before you hit submit on your bracket.
